How the 80 Minutes Unfold
Welcome and introductions. A friendly start sets a relaxed tone for the session.
The Way of Tea. Your sensei shares the history of tea ceremony, the legendary Sen no Rikyu, and the four principles of chado: harmony, respect, purity, and tranquility. Each tool is introduced and explained.
The sensei's demonstration. A complete, unhurried temae performed from start to finish — every movement explained in English.
Your turn. Measure, sift, and whisk your own bowl of matcha, step by step with the sensei beside you.
Enjoy your matcha with seasonal wagashi (Japanese sweets).
A relaxed finish: taste and compare three kinds of Japanese tea, with time for photos and questions.
